I just put a deposit down on a Chrysler Pacifica

My wife has been wanting one, Ii saw an ad in the paper today for a 2007 with super low miles(24k). We went and test drove it and liked it, I hope it's a good vehicle. I read user reviews online and they seemed to be good for the 07 model. I am supposed to go pick it up Monday or Tuesday.

I always try to rent a Pacifica anywhere I go. Nicely made and comfortable carriers. I was actually very impressed with the interior quality of the one I rented. Lots of room and awesome handling for a van/suv that big.

It wouldn't be my first choice, but she likes it, and I did after I drove it. We got it super cheap. It was a theft vehicle, they jacked up the ignition and shifter but it was fixed.

My mom had a pacifica and hated the crap out of it. Always complained about the gas mileage, and how uncomfortable everything was. Just traded it in and got a 2009 Camry

I couldn't disagree more. I rented Pacifica's at least 3 times and I was astounded on how much car you get for the money. It was very comfortable indeed. The gas mileage was about 19-21mpg on those things which wasn't bad based on the size of the vehicle.

My wife has one. She loves it. I HATE IT. The passenger area is to small, I have a family of 5 and it is WAAAAAY to small for traveling compared to the minivan we traded in for it and for the love of freaking god WHY OH WHY have I put 3 sets of tie rods in it sihce I have owned it. The dealer says to me " We had a really harsh winter and the potholes can do that" I say " Yup, bullshit, my 15 year old minivan made by "Chrysler" has not needed one single tie rod since I have owned it". He then says "Well, really it is a known problem with them."

so....

beware, they eat tie rods for breakfast.

You have ben warned 🙂

Meh...my family rented a Pacifica on two different vacations and found it rather enjoyable (4 people), so much so that my dad ended up leasing one 2 years ago. Decent engine, drives well, good quality materials...sure, the gas mileage isn't great, but that's not a huge deal to us.

How is 24k super low miles for a 2 year old car. That's 12k a year - totally normal.

Good purchase, but I just wouldn't call it super low mileage. What did you pay?

Good price man... Even if you hate it after a couple years youll still get 60-70% of what you paid for it back..

How many miles?

My mom has a pacifica with 40k or so on it and hasn't needed anything yet. Just got a routine checkout too and nothing wrong or worn.
