Don't go taking it any deeper than recomended!

unless you are a professional diver, 130 feet is more than adequate. most of the diving tours in Cancun and surround areas were advertising diving at depths of 40-50 feet

Not to mention I'm going to talk to my doctor before I leave because I have asthma, and from what I heard I should be okay scuba diving to around that depth. However if I can't scuba dive I'm going to just snorkel.

But it's just cool because I can be in the water and take pics of my GF and I in the clear water, or if we are on Jet Ski's or something I don't have to worry about getting my camera wet, which is going to be the best parts!

it wouldve been nice to go scuba diving. But I get these horrible foot and toe cramps from the fins. So only went snorkeling. But the best part was when I took off the life-jacket and free dove down to the corals and took close-up shots of the fishies and the corals.
One thing you might want to try is dive down underneath your girlfriend and take pics of her swimming at the surface. Do this with the flash on and you will get her and the sun in the background. I tried this and after some practice, the pics came out really nice. Also we took turns diving and another person take pics of us while we're at the bottom. fun times

I read your edit and checked it out myself, that really sucks man :(

I noticed how the case for your camera is "All Weather" while most of the others are "Waterproof Cases". Also, the MSRP of the one I picked up is $240 on that site, but it was $160 + $10 shipping. I would assume you could find your all weather case for probably under $100.

man I was like THIS close to buying an SD300 when I was getting a new camera, but I went w/the A510 instead. I'm glad I did :D
What I don't understand is the SD400 and the SD500 are almost identical. Maybe the SD500 case works for the SD400 also... but they have that listed with the SD200/300 case.

The SD400 is almost the exact same as the SD300. The SD500 is bigger and heavier. The underwater casing for the SD200/SD300/SD400 work for those models. I've been looking into this for quite a while too, and I'm just disappointed that the model for these cameras only go to 9.8ft (I have the SD300). I'm not sure if it's even worth it for that little depth. Then again, do you normally go deeper than that?

Hopefully they'll make one for these cameras that go deeper xfingers crossedx

I have one of those for my S300 and it works perfectly. I've taken it surfing with me and never had even a drop of water get inside it.
