Data rate are out of control. The sad thing is the will never go down either.

The droid does look awesome though. I would totally get that over the Iphone.

The screen is glass correct? Would you recommend getting those plastic screen covers for it or will it not scratch that much? My friend's Pre is awful because its like all plastic and any scratch on the screen is highly HIGHLY visible.

I had an iphone for 3 months and hated it because at the time they didnt have a horizontal screen keyboard and the vertical one is shit for me.

Call and complain, my coworker got a Storm and they're giving him the '1 year rate' for the droid which means the phone costs 369 (269 after rebate). Worth the extra 69 bucks.

I shake my head at folks who dump big bucks into the "latest and greatest" new phones...but are soon disillusioned when within a few months, something better comes out...(sounds like everything else "techy" doesn't it? )

I like some of what I've seen and read about the Droid, and IF I had a need/want for such a device, I think I'd choose the Droid over the iPhone...but, for the first time since the "bag phone" days of the early 90's, we're without cell phones. We're considering getting a pre-paid phone and plan for when we're on the road...but it's not a high priority for us. If I need to make a non-emergency phone call that won't wait until I get home, there are still phone booths...

AT&T's only saving grace is the Iphone. I've got about 6 months left on my Sprint contract, but Verizon is one of the few I'm considering...just can't get it now and with Sprint, you have the Instinct HD, Hero or the Pre and that's about it.

Everyone has something they like to spend their money on....its the way it goes. I shake my head at the amount of money people put into a LOT of things I don't like, too.
