I thought that Anand was going to change the link on the main page to point to www.teamanandtech.com and was going to change it to say TA Distributed Computing or something along those lines?

With the posting of the Article, I think we might not be catching some people that would be impressed with the page enough to join one of the efforts.

Anybody???

Ya, the link not being changed is due to confusion on both our end, and Anand's. After I had mech give the article his special touch, it ended up being longer than I planned; so Anand made it a full article, instead of a replacement page for the RC5/DC page. At the moment, only the webnews page links to the RC5/DC page, so it doesn't get a whole lot of hits(meaning not too many people are getting the old info), but it does need ot be updated as originally planned.😱 I'll have Anand at least get it re-linked to the article for at least the time being.
 
And what happened to our animated logo on the mail page?? Seems like we have been dealt a double whammy here.

Don't get me wrong, I think it is wonderful that we got the article posted and all, but the article will quickly drift off the radar screen where as the link(s) pointing to www.teamanandtech.com will keep delivering the curious to our doorstep. What is the difficulty in having it pointed to the teamanandtech page? I also think that we should definately have it changed to Dist Computing or something. It's only fair to the SETI, OGR, GF guys that have all crossed project lines to help all of us out.

Just my .02 worth.

boy we had a war on this a wile ago 🙁 anand droped by said he would change it all up and then its been about 5 months and no change. oh well he still loves us 😀

Sorry, that was supposed to say main page instead of mail page. I was refering to the animated logo that was positioned to the right side of the main page in the region that now houses the "Add to Favorites" link.

I don't even see a link to www.teamanandtech.com on the current RC5 page.

OK, my bad... Now I know what you're talking about...

Hopefully we can get the RC5 link (and name) changed soon. Sometimes it is slow going getting in touch with Anand. The guy is busy. I know I'd have a hard time balancing college and a multi-million dollar corporation at the same time... (I'd like to TRY, mind you, but it'd be hard! 🙂 )
