I just loaded windowsXP.....I have a few issues...

all my word documents from windows 2000 are useless in windows XP!

I keep getting the message -- cannot load word for windows 6.0 files.

Is there a work around??

I am thinking I could copy and paste all the 1,000`s of word documents onto word for XP......but that seems like a huge hassle!

Thanks

A - what version of office was installed on the Win 2000 machine?
B - do you have the same version on the XP machine?

C - I checked Office 2003 and its version is 11, 2002/XP would be 10, where is it getting 6.0?

was it MS WORKS 6.0 that you had on the 2000 machine?

I think it's WordPad that he's using. I'm not sure what the different versions are, but it's 6.0 in Vista.
