I'm getting conflicting signals. 😕

No one has figured it ou yet on this forum, but they have on others. I'm a pain in the ass. I take the other side simply for the sake of doing it. It amuses me to see peoples reactions and responses. I'm not gonna push it this time, last time I get a vacation. Figured I'd just come out and explain. I said what I said simply to watch the saga unfold. You say its red, I say its pink to just watch everything happen. Simple amusement. In the 2 years or so I've been here no one has figured it out yet. There too concerned trying to come up with insults, some are actually quite amusing.

I have a wife and 3 kids. Every day, EVERY day they go out the door I worry about them. I wonder...Is some guy readin the paper while driving gonna run a red light? Is some girl who's putting on makeup gonna drift out of her lane? Is some kid in a hurry gonna blow past the stopped bus while kids are getting on? And yes, is some jackass who decided to have a few drinks gonna be driving around and get in a wreck with my wife. In other words, you should have called the cops, hell even physically detained the guy till he got there. What if he had killed some guys wife, some guys entire world, the girl he loved? But, for amusement purposes its far easier to take the other side and watch people go at it. 😀

Hey, simple minds are amused by simple things. And group mentality has ALWAYS fascinated me. Tell 1 guy theres a fire, its a planned orderly move to the door. Tell a concert hall theres a fire, its madness and mayham of trampling and pushing for the door. The same applies to forums as well. 😉

see how fascinated you are when you are personally affected by an accident caused by a drunk driver

Translation = "I'm an asshole."

No, translation = "Human emotion and reaction fascinates me"

So take a class on it dumbsh!t, don't post on an internet forum.

Quick question. I've heard "narc" mentioned once before, but I still don't quite know what it means. I assume though that it's something along the lines of "tattle".

As someone who just lost a friend on Thanksgiving to a drunk driver I really wish you had reported the guy.

But....

regardless of your actions it was the choice of that man to drink and drive. Your guilt would be understandable if he had killed or injured innocent people but the fault isn't yours. You didn't make the choice. He did.

I know sometimes it's hard to get involved. I haven't thought of the people that knew the jerk was drunk and let him go when I thought about Rich dying. I just thought about the driver. In the end, he is the one that is to blame and I hope he goes to jail for a long time.

Sadly, I haven't actually found out for sure if that driver even lived through the crash. I'm betting he did. They almost always do. :brokenheart:

I've been in a situation where I've seen a drunk driver but had no means of reporting them, remember, you're doing it for their safety too!

I prefer the conceptualy accurate term "rat".
That being said, I don't think you are a narc if you call the police because of someone who is intoxicated and driving.

"Reporting him to the police so he can be arrested to ensure the safety of other people on the road."

can't believe more people defend the drunk drivers than the life of the innocent.

1) No one is innocent.
2) Its not his business.
3) You wanna play vigilante? Join the Army. Oh wait, that takes a pair between the legs....Forgot....Keep playin Bily Badass and hidin behind your cell phone
4) You have a problem with a drunk? Confront them, dont hide behind the police...Oh wait, see above abou tthe pair....

Wow, what an a$$! Never heard of civic duty.... I hope you get run down (but not killed) by a drunk driver someday... or get your car totaled by a drunk driver... Maybe then you'll have a change of opinion about civic duty.

sounds like you were just bitter getting picked on....I doubt he was drunk probably just picking on you. If some idiot was making comments on my selections I'd have said something or even done something, if someone kicked my groceries I'd have been ticked....

Now what I don't understand is he was behind you passed you, knocked stuff out of your cart but you still caught up to him in the parking lot?

doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

uh, stupid OP, you make the thing so damn confusing. I originally thought the poll was about, "What would you do?", and I picked Report him. Then I read it again and it said what would you NOT do?

Stupid OP! :| Maybe you should blame your poll and not the pollees.

I think it refers to an undercover narcotics officer busting someone who is trying to sell him drugs.

Tyler: "Oh, I get it. It's very clever. How's that working out for you?"
Dorkwave: "What?"
Tyler: "Being clever"

You're not clever, you're just a troll. Lame.

Tone of his voice didn't sound right. He was talking random crap and it wasn't very coherent. Came his turn, he was saying hi to cashier, but in a weird tone which alarmed her he's intoxicated and denied selling him the case of beer, the only item he was going to purchase.

He walked slightly uncoordinated, brushed into my cart, knocked off a few flattened boxes which I had it laid down on the bottom part of the cart. I yelled after him to pick up. Instead of picking up, he got smartass with me and said "that's ok" and slowly walked away.

When I head out the door, this drunkard was outside talking with some other guys. Then as I was loading my grocery into my car, I saw him get into his car... stop near the main exit.. chit chat.. then take off.

NeoPTLD, it's pretty obvious that you didn't care too much about calling the PO-PO on this dude. You had ample oppurtunity, but you decided to put other tasks in higher priority. What's so hard about stopping for 3 min to call the police on your cell instead of loading your groceries into the car. Your ice cream will still be ok if it gets to your fridge 3 min late.

If you were serious about turning this guy in, or possilby preventing any innocent people from getting hurt, then you would have done so. But apparently you decided that it wasn't as important than you thought it was and now you're posting on AT to get attention on yourself. And no, you most definitely do not feel like you failed to do your civic duty. You just wanted something to post on AT. Way to go.

i would have called his licencse in, remember that next time, but just be glad he didnt; kill anyone, that you know of

I didn't let him go because the priority was low. I let it go, because I figured it was redundant. I kinda feel bad about it. Next time though, I'll turn them in for sure.
