Yep... Socrates did it to Plato, Plato to Aristotle, then Aristotle to Alexander the Great, then Alexander did it to a bunch of people at a bunch of places he conquered... back then it was the norm to become a man or attain manhood... in high school there was no mention, I first heard about it from my college philosophy professor and history professor... then I saw it briefly mentioned in a show on the History Channel...
Now a days the social norm to manhood is to pound a beer, shoot a gun/hunting, or lose your V-Card...
