If it was a copperhead there is another one. There are always two.
A master, and an apprentice. But which one was destroyed? Stay tuned for Revenge of the serpent!!!

You can get some stuff at Lowe's or Home Depot called....you guessed it, Snake Away. It has sulfer and something else, mothballs, I think. Works fine.Originally posted by: Phoenix15
Is there anything that I can put out that will run them off? My father in law mention using sulfur around the house. I know I will be acalling a extermanitor tommorrow morning. Do they do this sort of thing?

Do you realize how fvcking dangerous and poisonous a Copperhead snake is?
If it was a non-venomous snake, I'd totally agree with you. But not in this case.

Seriously, you need to be looking for the other one. Copperheads almost always travel in pairs.
Edit: some people say this is BS but every time I have found one another is nearby.

I've had 4 encounters with copperheads, never saw more than one in a given place
One was in my uncles river house, about a mile from the Black River in MO, buried in woods, really a great place. Walked into a room saw the thing on the floor and said "hey, thats a pretty good looking rubber snake." Then it started moving as I walked over to it. heh.
Shovled the thing outside then took its head off. Not gonna leave it in the yard with the little cousins running around.
another time a friend of my parents stepped on one and got bitten . . . house was very remote so it could have been trouble but a sheriff came and took her to the local hospital, which of course was stocked to deal with snakebites from all the local variants.
saw a couple more in the woods around there, just left them alone as they weren't close enough to be a real threat.
