I just installed CompuServe 2000 version 6.0, argh!

on my friends IBM ThinkPad i1370 which I helped her buy for $789 courtesy of the Hot Deals forum. She's one of those who got sucked into the $400 rebate offer, assuming she sell herself for $21.95 for 3 years, LOL. Anyhow this is a huge ass 30.1MB file and she doesn't have broadband. Thankfully I was kind enough to d/l all her ICQ, AIM, CompuSh!t stuff at home with my DSL.

You take a perfectly decent IBM ThinkPad laptop with Windows 2000 Pro and ruin it with CompuServe, what's this world coming to?

If I had to choose between AOL, CompuServe and MSN I'd probably choose MSN but I have never seen AOL.
