He said he likes drifting, and used to have an awesome drift car. You guessed it - Honda Civic.

At least he didn't ask if my MR2 was front wheel drive..

Hah two turbos and 10K redline

Cue F and F quotes:

Paul: I almost had you!
Vin: You never had me. You never had your car!

well, depending on the car, 100 MPH in 2nd gear isn't unreasonable.

My camaro would top out at ~121 in 2nd with the stock 4L60E trans, 7k RPM redline (Actually, my current redline is 7200) and the stock 2.73 geared rear.

Twin turbo SRT4 setup.

10 second SRT4.

Not saying the guy you talked to had anything at all like it, but a dual turbo SRT4 is certainly available(although a single large turbo works much better for them) and a 12 second SRT4 isn't remotely quick for one of them.

Dual exhaust is very popular on those cars too, and of course very stupid(unless you are trying to add weight).

Hitting 40psi is also doable on the SRT4 with the right setup(aftermarket turbo and BOV, HKS, TurboXS) although unless you are running racing fuel you get so much ignition retard it isn't worth it.

The two comments that are way out of line, 10K rpm and 100mph in second gear, not going to happen with a SRT4, not even close. That engine does not like to rev at all, it has a shocking amount of low end and mid range punch for a turbo 4 car, but it doesn't vaguely resemble a revver.

I helped one of my buddies with his 10 second SRT4, was really surprised what you could do with those cars for fairly cheap. Downside, they have nightmare level torque steer and are very hard to launch properly(need to pretty much bog the motor and backpedal through first and second when they have decent power).

My camaro would top out at ~121 in 2nd with the stock 4L60E trans

That's an automatic and it revs quite a bit higher then a SRT4(SRT4 is manual only). 100MPH in third gear may be doable, I honestly don't remember where that topped out at with stock gearing.

10k on that motor?

I get misfires above about 11k, but then I have a Nissan VQ and that motor is awesome.

Come to think of it I think he said SXT4, not SRT4 - he did say it had a paddle-shifting automatic.

You left out the most pertinent part of my statement though....

I know nothing about SRT4's aside from I don't fit in one comfortably.

I did 130mph in my 1970 Tempest in second gear.
Of course it was a powerglide 2 speed transmission though lol.

Well you can't really compare two different motors of different cylinders and size.

Sure you can. One revs to 10k and still only makes 1/4 of the power as the other one only revving to 2k.

On a 'serious' note, 10k RPM and 40 psi... can you get whatever his rods and pistons are made out of for a 4.6 plz? Doesn't sound like anything you can get from a normal periodic table. Must be special order, overnight from Japan.

I'm sure these guys got their parts from OZ

~13,000rpm / ~44psi / ~"1350hp"
But that never going to happen in an undersquare motor.
