I just had an epileptic seizure!!!!!!!!!!!

There's a flashing banner on ATOT that caused me to have a seizure. I fell on the floor and hit my head. It said I won but when I tried to get my mouse curser up to it to click it things started exploding in my head. Now I have to post with duct tape on my monitor. This is horrible. What a terrible assault. Can somebody tell me what I won?

If you're tired of this flashing banner, get Mozilla. You can set it to not display images that do not originate from the server the page comes from.

You'll only see white spaces instead of advertisements. Very convenient.

My guess, Red Dawn, is that they are assholes who don't care one whit about kicking you in the head just so long as they make a sale. Would be nice, not for me, of course, because I'm a kind person, to lock their heads in a brace, pin their eyelids open, and make them watch the stuff they produce for eternity.

Elledan, I try to give support to Anandtech advertisers. I got lots of Crucial for example, but I don't much like a psychological assault on my nervous system. So thanks but no thanks to a total ban on the ads. Over there in Europe, you're not so much of a potential customer that I can blame you for self protection.

I have to agree that banner sucks. Started seeing it yesterday. When I get it I immediately refresh the page so that I get something less annoying.

@Guard 3.22 here. Works better than the other blockers and hardly interferes with normal browsing. Gotta turn it off to use Dogpile due to their marketing ploys! :|

Or, in my case, know about the ads, and accidently toured the L. Ronn Hubbard museum in LA (boy, thats a long story), so I know what Dianetics is.
