I just had a wtf moment

I work the graveyard shift at my company's NOC. I work alone and I usually just surf the web or study for my next certification to kill the time.. Its almost 6am now..

I come in when its dark, and I'm used to it being dark out.. I wasn't thinking, and I checked weather.com for the weather. It says 60 and sunny!

At first I'm thinking, wtf, this isnt right something is wrong.. Then it hit me, I turned around, looked out the window, and bam! its daytime!

No kidding. I thought they just chain you to a desk in the basement and force you to watch a big monitor all night...

This should help you.

The Earth rotates around once in 24 hours - that's a rate of 1000 miles per hour!. The time it takes for the Earth to rotate completely around once is what we call a day. It's Earth's rotation that gives us night and day.
