How much was it? What resolution? Widescreen?

I hope you aren't too close to the monitor :p

That's a terribly low resolution for such a huge screen. Only good for TV-watching distances, not desktop use. Gigantic pixels. So you got a huge screen that can't show even as much resolution as most widescreen 19 inch models, and you have to sit so far away to keep the pixels from seeming huge that it ends up having the visual size of a 19 inch that you sit closer to.

I assume there are other features that make this a tremendous bargain (considering a DVD player costs 20 bucks these days)?

And why is the 2 in 32 so much more important than the 3 on the sticker?

I like the open bottle of water sitting on a tilted and apparently slick surface. :)

yes..the resolution is a bit bothersome to me. I got used to with the 1600x1200. I practically lost 50 % of room :(.

But playing games on this screen is awesome !!!!!!!

1366 x 768 pixel resolution =

I rather use my 2407WFP 24" anyday.

Virtually all 32" LCD TV's are 1366x768, so it's not like he bought the wrong thing. I'm considering getting a new TV in the future w/ an HDMI connection for future use. Hmmmm....

Size > resolution for gaming

I'd play games on my 800x600 DLP projector at 100" any day over my 24" CRT @ 1920x1200

The problem is he appears to be using it as a desktop display, sitting 2 feet in front of it maybe. Might be fine for gaming and watching TV/DVD but it's crap for desktop use.

Even the 1080P sets are too low for serious desktop use IMO, though the line does start to blur there.

1366x768 is simply terrible for desktop use - Even the lowly 1280x1024 displays have a nearly 25% advantage in pixel count.

games on huge LCD FTW!

I played tons of games on my 800*600 DLP projector with a ~100" screen. Can't wait to go back, actually. Stupid town house!

I'm using the native resolution, set @ 1360x768 (recommended)

BestBuy WestingHouse 32"

Oblivion 1

Oblivion 2...lol that legion soldier looked stoned.

Congrats, I got a 37" 1080p Westy and I'm loving it! Westinghouse makes some awesome LCD/tv sets.

There is something to be said for gaming on a huge screen even at lower res. The first time I played doom and HL2 on my 27 incher I was blown away at 1280x1024. The sheer size of the picture will suck you in and no screen shot will do it justice. I am sure it is a nice pic even @1366x768. Give it time though and you will eventually seek a higher res. Wanting a top res and pic quality will naturally drive an upgrade a year ot 2 from now.

Congrats and enjoy then plan on a dell 3007 or whatever better model is out there next go around.

I don't see a problem to that

I'll be planning to use this monitor for my first build (in a box in a moment) and use my 2007FP later on. Until......When I get a room again :)

I play on my 42" 1080P Westy from about 6' back on a recliner. HTPC FTW.

With all due respect that looks like total crap. No thank you. I'm just not into gaming by projection or at low resolutions like that. Looks like Mike Tyson's Punch out as far as I'm concerned.

1920x1200 is much more my style.

Fair enough, but you're losing out on lots of detail at that size. And you have to move your head to see other parts of the screen at that size. I prefer my 17" 1280*1024.

Obviously you have never seen this in action :)

Also, you sit 9-11' feet away in a recliner, with the home stereo system thumping. It is hard to beat, I had people in college come over to my place just to play through games like COD2.

Plus, the 6800GT that I was using at the time ran almost everything effortlessly at 800*600 :D

To me the optimal is the Dell 3007WFP, 30 inch is big and the res is huge, assuming you have quad SLI or Crossfire X1950XTX to power it.

Yeah because 1920x1200 on a crappy small monitor is fantastic!
