ALBATRON GeForce 4 TI4200P

Im a total newbie at all of this. I was just wondering, is this card good?? Why are there so many ti4200's out there?

There is a MSI, Gainward, VGA???

Whats the difference between these?? Which one is the best and did I make a mistake??

I was looking for a good gaming video card, with svideo out and dvi output.....

You can sometimes tell the difference in image quality. It depends on the quality of the signal filters the manufacturer uses. These can be high or low quality depending on how much cost the manufacturer is trying to cut.

There is very little difference, as 90% of manufacturers simply follow nVIDIA's reference design.

Same performance - all that matters. Drivers are provided by NVIDIA so the difference's aren't very major. The main differences are possibly in warrantees. One might give you 90 days, another only 30 days. It depends on the company.

Edit: My original thread made no sense. I guess thats what happens when you talk on the phone, watch TV and write a post at the same time... :)

some of the retail bundles and added features of the cards may be different, but sheer fps should be very similar. the only other difference is what amish mentioned, that some manufacturers use higher quality bits than others. or one will use ram capable of a far faster speed than necessary to go after the overclocker market.

Like ElFenix said, ram quality can differ (ram speed). That can make a slight difference, or a larger one. If it's higher quality ram, it's probably more overclockable which can lead to some nice performance gains...

Who is Albatron? I noticed last night as I was looking around at motherboards and stuff that they were everywhere... is it a company that renamed or are they some popular newcomer?

They all use the same GPU(GeForce 4 Ti4200) but each manufacturer probably uses different types of ram, capacitors resistors and all that other stuff. All in all there mostly the same.

cool!

I have another question. When I use the TV out feature, will the tv have exactly what the computer is trying to display?? I was talkin to one of my friends, and he was telling me that his computer screnn shows up on the tv out but right when he pops in a divx movie to play, the divx part goes blank on the tv out. IS this true?
