You went all in with a pair of Kings? HAHAHAHAHAHA. There were two face cards on the flop and he raised your big bet. You know he had to have something good. HAHAHAHAHAHA stupid.

well, at least the OP realizes how retarded he is. If he were to make this thread and say "OMG. WTF....I HAVE THE WORST LUCK EVER, SOME JACKASS BEAT ME...I CAN'T BELIEVE I LOST THIS!", then that would warrant lots of ridicule and permabans.

Poker is a game of odds, chances, and luck. You went in when the odds were not in for favor and didn't have a very good chance of winning. You did not get any good luck on the flop, turn, or river cards and therefore lost.

I once had K8 suited on the button so I raised before the flop cuz they were suited. The flop was A J 8. I figured I got a pair and a good kicker so I went all in. I mean I was on the button and that is supposed to be an advantage.

It wasn't all that bad you had High card but there were 2 mor overcards on the table. You played it right, up to the point where you called his all in. Your hand was good but not allin good. Know the battles you want to take. You should have though more about what he could have. Trips and Two pair is a strong possibility. But think if he had top pair like you. Most likely his kicker was better. So he could do no wrong and you are hoping for a tie.

Knowing when to lay down is what seperates poker players.

umm....do you know what high card means? and what overcards mean?

1. he didn't have high card, he had TOP PAIR on the flop.

2. if he only had low pair of 7's, then you can say that there were 2 over cards on the board (the king and queen)

...unless you are referring to the OPs kicker, the 5 he had. Then yes, the 7 and Q are the overcards.

He had K, Q.

QED.

haha...never underestimate the power of the kicker. Top pair with lowest kicker is not an all in hand...sorry.

you should really fold K5 preflop.

I mean, you would need a magical flop to make k5 playable and it just doesn't happen often enough to make it profitable.

Wow, a 12 year old lost more play money by being stupid because there are no consequences for losing? Stop the presses, that's front page news.
