...and all i can say is i'm extremely impressed and happy with my purchase. this is one of the few times i haven't had buyers remorse when buying something for my computer. and, they were only 36 bucks! (got em off ebay - new)

36 bucks is a great price. The only ones I've seen at that price are the refurbished ones.

yep, on the center speaker.

there is an audible hiss only when the volume is up all the way, and even then i have to put my ear like 6 inches from the speaker to hear it.

is the cord length long enough

the front speakers are just long enough (maybe a foot extra slack), and the rear speakers have plenty of extra slack
