Went to Compusa first, and they had the audiovox maestro on display, but not in stock for 199.00 - 10.00 instant rebate.

With that information I went across the street to Staples, the only store that had them in my area.

I told them about Compusa and would like them to price match it, so they did.

Staples price 349.00 - $66 (price matched amount), - $40.00 Coupon - $50.00 rebate = $193.00.

Yeah Baby!

It is for my wife, just a gift for been so great to me, but she would like the following since she travels a lot.

1. A battery extender, since she takes 6-8 hours long airplane trips.

2. How to connect to the internet, what is the process and would take her to get there.

3. A good source for Ebooks, for free would be great.

4. Can this unit be used with AUDIBLE.COM files ? that is her main reason to have this PDA, to listen to audiobooks.

5. How does Avantgo works?

6. would any phone work with it to connect the internet, or is there a universal adapter?

7. Batteries, batteries, batteries?

8. If batteries get drained, would I loose all my info?

9. Has anyone attempted to connect this PDA to Metaframe server as a Thin Client or Terminal server.

10. Is there a list of the best software to have?

So you pricematched $349 to $189 which amounted to $66 dollars difference? The greatest gift to your wife would be completing your high school education

I think a more appropriate title for this thread would be "I just got my first lock, and what a deal!" :p

I was going to answer your questions since ive had one for a few months already but that last statement, and the reasoning behind making a brand new thread even though the original deal is still on the first page makes me think you wont be back to read the responses since you dont understand how the forum works.

This is a "how do i do this..." thread being disguised as a hot deal. So maybe he is right and we should get the lock on it so the other thread(s) can survive. :|

Well, you all are talking a lot of trash, but I believe the difference in pricematch versus claim has something to do with Staples somewhat esoteric matching scheme which has lost them my business in the main not that they ever made a dime on me anyway.

So whatever, but I did go to Comp and got a $100 credit based on this story on my $300 purchase w/free rhinoskin case and 32meg MMCard. So bump to you my brother even though I think your deal was local.

I know the rules, and when I posted this thread, I was so sure I was placing it in the right place.
If I didn't, I do apologize.

I am terrible dissapointed of all the replies, as I was only trying to tell people here, how I went about it to make this work, and some others could benefit from it.

It feels as a hyena pack going against me, do you guys feel better now, after your replies?

The adult approach would have been just to lock the thread, or deleted, but KIDS...you don't know any better I suppose.

Been a loyal fan of this forum for along time, and turned lots of people onto it, please keep it "fair" and "inteligent".

Just DELETE IT.

And for you idiots, Staples only pricematches after they deduct their coupons and rebates!!!! So his math does work.:disgust:

It is rude. It is almost inconceivable that anyone would say such things in real life (unless they are cerebrally-challenged)...that's the double-edged sword of the Internet...one can say almost anything in near-anonymity and usually not incur any repercussions.

To all whining smart-a$$ threadcrappers; next time you get an urge to put someone down, look in a mirror and ask yourself "do I have the balls to say it to his/her face?" Nuff said :|

Nice deal you got. I'd be excited too!

Don't let some of the replies sway you. It's this exact same attitude that reaps the most out of the deals that are posted (can be quite demoralizing) but you learn the truth & as we all know, knowledge is power! :)

Rock~On!

No kidding because JustInCase is usually a total B I T C H to newbies. It is true that you can attract more flys with honey than vinegar. Instead of making nice statements that point out mistakes she usually acts like she is PMSing. Sad thing is most of the newbies probably won't remember what she said and instead remember how stupid she was to reply that way. And the rest of the flamers are no better. But hey, it is the internet so that cold bitch don't know a thing about me :D
