I've never had that problem 🙂 Of course, having a beard and an extremely deep voice kind of makes it difficult to be mistaken for a woman 😉

It's kind of hard to see a beard over the phone, don't you think?

A girl I know was mistakenly called a guy by the mayor of Boston in front of the whole school. That was funny. 🙂

I was just covering both bases there (over the phone convos and face-to-face)

When I was 17 I worked for an HVAC company. I was sent on a no heat service call. Got to the house and a nice old lady (70ish) answered the door. I fixed the problem, explained what was wrong, and went over the bill with her. The whole time being the respectful southern boy I am saying yes mam and no mam. I looked down at the bill and she had signed it Jeffrey Whatever. I figured she had just signed her hubands name or something. I got back to the office and my boss asked "how did things go at Mr. Whatever's house?". I said that it went fine and my boss told me he had called and complained that I called him mam the whole time. Everyone thought it was funny, I got wrote up, and was made fun of for weeks. I still think it was a chick.
