i just got bitten by a tick, am i a goner?

good news, it's been 4 months and i didn't die!

but weird thing though

a day after the tick bite i got a big red pimple on both my feet

one of them went away but the other never did. it's still there, bigger and redder than ever, with a little dot in the middle.

it doesn't itch though so i assume its harmless

Some of my mom's bites had a similar long lasting persistence.

She did test positive for some Lyme antibodies, but not enough to indicate severe infection(3 out of the 10 antibodies checked were high).

fyi there was a vaccine for lyme disease, was pulled from market due to lawsuits, it's still available for animals though

Hmmm my cat is due for her shots I should ask if they can just give me them instead. 😛

And it was pretty effective and safe as well. Got bad press, that bullshit class action, and was pulled due to lack of profitability. Oh well.

There is a new one in development now, we'll see if it shares the same fate.
