I don't see where anyone here is being mean.

So we don't think being involved in a riot is cool. I guess if that is mean, well, ok.

I guess pretty much calling the person stupid while assuming she took part in the drunken debacle isn't being a jackass? ~_~

No one here made any assumptions, she admitted she was there participating. You are the one calling names.

Who is being mean now?

Most places riot when they win a championship or something similar...

What's the point in rioting to celebrate a narrow win over a mediocre Ohio State?

Don't be hatin' just because your school isn't going anywhere.

I was there homecoming week for the game vs. Michigan. Went to Champs to pregame on Friday, then Phyrst afterwards. Shithole of a bar, but awesome time and atmosphere. After the game on Saturday, went back again Saturday night. Overall a good time.

Phyrst is the best bar in town, followed closely by the darkhorse.

I'd hardly call what happened the other night a riot. It happens every time there is a major event here. Steelers superbowl win, OSU win 3 years ago, Arts festival in the summer, etc... I wasn't at the scene the other night, but back in college I always went downtown. The cops basically stand arms length apart the whole way down beaver ave along the canyon and let people celebrate. After a while they start herding people away. If you disobey you get maced. A real riot is much scarier and destructive than what happened the other night.

I'm not saying it's a shithole in a bad way, just in it's appearance. Dark, underground, extremely crowded, noisy, dirty. Just the kind of atmosphere that makes a great night before a big game.

We had a great time. I went up with my friend's cousin to visit my friend (1st Year Grad Student). We went out with two of his friends and wound up drinking with a bunch of alumni all night and things getting pretty crazy.

Similar things the next night.
