I just got a call from a friend on the road

So he's on a road trip of sorts, and this kid is by no means dumb, but has no common sense.

He calls, and says that his car broke down. He drives some family sedan. Apparently, he pulled into a gas station, and spied a "new, cheap gas that he hadn't seen before."

Yeah, you guessed. The dumb fvck put diesel in his car. Busted the hell out of it. If I could reach through the phone and slap the hell out of him I would.

I hope his parents kick him out of the house. I'd consider my role as a parent a failure at that point.

That's something you don't teach your kid...that's something most normal and smart people pickup by themselves...

lol, if he can manage to syphon it out and put some regular gas in it it should be ok

Better remind the idiot not to drink it too.

But most normal and smart people have common sense and hopefully a parent could instill it into themselves. I'd blame this guy in this case, but also his parents. Possibly even his grandparents for him putting diesel in it. Probably his teachers too, and you know what? I even blame Chraticn for this.

That's true too - one of us should have mentioned it already 😱

Speaking of stupid - one of my friends intentionally did a burnout next to a cop at a stoplight and was suprised that he got pulled over. His plea to the cop verbatim "But officer, it's the last day of school, I had to do a clutch bomb!"

Freaking idiot

We have big and small nozzles for diesel around here.

He should be forced to keep sucking on the syphon hose... until the tank is dry 😀

That'll learn him.

Something tells me he already tried driving it. Probably tried restarting it a few times and continuing on, too.

Now, I hate to admit this, but I once managed to put diesel in my dad's chainsaw. The guy kept the gas and diesel in unlabeled jugs, I guess he never thought his industrious son would try to refill the chainsaw (I was pretty young at the time).

It makes a LOT of smoke, and actually idles OK. Once you apply any throttle, though, it dies.

Thank goodness it wasn't permanently damaged.

At least it wasn't gas in a diesel engine...

that's less harmful. You can run a surprisingly high percentage of unleaded in your diesel with no negative effects. (I've seen claims of 30%)

In fact, in the winter a lot of people put a bit of unleaded in to help it run better.

Wrong. I blame the church.

I didn't get any details on nozzle size, but I'm sure that if he wanted to put diesel in the car, diesel got in the car.

And yes, because he didn't know it was wrong at the time, he did attempt to drive it out, at which time it sputtered and died.
