My Canadian passport went through a wash and dry a few years ago. Aside from looking a little 'washed out' it was intact and got me in and out of the UK.

You can get a passport overnight shipped to you IIRC. It's like an extra $70 or something though.

No, we can't. It is not a US Passport, so we have to go to a consulate or embassy that will allow a new passport. We've already made an appointment in Atlanta for Monday because that's the closest one. Now we are getting her a new PIN in Bogota so she can apply for a new Visa.

what country is she from?
does this make her illegal now? :p

Nice move, bowel.

I love OT. The land where only the OP has ever done anything wrong and the responders all walk on water.

I've walked on water before.... frozen water, but its still water isnt it?

No, she still has her 1-94. Her visas are not completely destroyed just faded. The pictures are washed out, and I've little doubt that she wouldn't be allowed to travel back on them.

That's what I was thinking. Shouldn't it be like money that is more clothlike over standard newsprint paper?

The OP screwed up, I agree. HOWEVER, the screw-up was not in forgetting to check the back pockets...it was for doing the wash in the 1st place instead of making his GIRLFRIEND DO IT.

Turn in your man card, Mr. Mom...

Just break up with her quick, and find an American girlfriend. Get drunk with all the extra time that you saved!

could be worse. a guy I was travelling with last week was telling me about a guy he went to China with recently. the second guy lost his U.S. passport and was stuck in China for 12 days. he spent hours and hours first filing a police report, then waiting around in line at the U.S. consulate.

And when you click on that link you get the 404.

That's really weird, cause when i click it, it takes me to a page that says:

You are now leaving the U.S. House of Representatives Web site
Thank you for visiting

You will now be going to:

Passport Services <---------- this is a link.

when i click the link, I get.

http://www.travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html
That's weird that my computer at work and now at home direct me to a 404 with an address different than the one that the 'Passport Services' link directs to.

The 'Passport Services' link directs to: http://www.travel.state.gov/passport_services.html

And your link above that you just posted is: http://www.travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html

Different pages in the same directory. Anyway....
