I just fried my Asus P5N-e SLI

I go out with a friend of mine and enjoy some fine Indian food, hit up Gameworks and end it early cause I have to work today (there now...)

I get home and see that the power had gone out about 3 hours ago and that my PC was down.
I try to boot it up and nothing -- nadda -- zip -- zilch

everything is powered up but it won't post boot

I freak out thinking maybe my 8800GTX got fried in the midst (and maybe it did...) :frown:

but I checked out another PCI-e video card I have that is working and nothing on the video -- that coupled with the fact that USB ports are not getting power makes me think its the mobo (this is a first for me)

I tried both of my power supplies separately and nothing also (moving to just use that 600w)

Any thought on it not being the mobo fried would be great

-- also suggestions on a new mobo to buy -- I'm thinking about hitting up Fry's B&M after work to see what I can get as either a new permanent solution or a hold over for new Tech

If no go with two new PSUs, then reset CMOS, RAM, and remove the battery for one hour and retest. You may want to check out the Abit IP35-E at MWAVE...$70 AR.

yeah -- my battery isn't ever in (makes it easy to reset the cmos on this board) i've left it unplugged over night -- nothing

I'll try to do it again as I could be wrong on the above overnight thing (was really tired) but I remove all HDD's and will try the ram next and see just vid, cpu, mobo will post

I'm a little too impatient to wait on shipping as I'm 100% down (not something I like) but I'll see if fry's has that board at something not way over priced
