Hey, we're all different, to some extent. Take me. I was born with 3 marbles, instead of 2. Walking down the street I feel quite normal. Unfortunately, I was born with too much rope, as well, so when I was in HS, the women actually walked past me, hugging the walls, looking at me like I was some kind of monster. To the contrary, I am and always have been a pretty gentle guy. All I can think, is someone in the 8th grade saw me in the shower, then got the rumor or legend going, far before I ever started HS there. Fortunately, as I got older, I found more of the mature and seasoned women, accepted me for who I am. :D

ANAD - Acute Normalcy/Averageness Disorder

You should see a doctor - they can give you placebos for that.

I fit the description too. But did you just realize that it's "not normal"? It's been pretty obvious to me for as long as I remember being alive that I am not very normal. Yes, it has its downs, but those can be overcome with a little will power, or you can just get used to them if you don't really think they're that bad. Character flaws will only stop you from doing what you want to do if you let them.

This fits me I have a hard time in new situations or large groups of people, however there could be other symptoms similar to this. If you really think you have a personality problem you should consult a specialist and not the intarweb

OP: How old are you?

Just so you know, APD has only been diagnosed in .5-1% of the American adult population, so it is much more likely that you have either

a.) Nothing wrong with you
or
b.) Some other type of disorder
