Where was the tumor located? My xwife had what was called a fatty tumor in here upper thigh. It was removed and all was well. My understanding of fatty tunors are they are a mass of fat and highly unlikely to be maligmant.

Last year I was dianosed with skin cancer and no reassurance from doctors and friends could reliave my anxiety over it. That turned out to be benign.

Keep good thoughts and best of luck to you.

Stay optimistic.

It could be just a benign mass.

Even if it comes to a big C, it's on your leg, which is easier to treat. Besides, younger people have much much better time recovering.

i don't know what kind of scan you've had already...but you would need a biopsy for a definitive diagnosis. either that or the radiologist is confident it's a benign mass

im going in tomorrow for more tests, not sure exactly what they are. all i know is after the tests they ran on me today, they concluded that there is deffinately a mass of angry tissue in me.

body does weird things sometimes.

Glad you're getting it taken care of. Hang in there. I've had many friends with biopsies performed - they were all benign.

its in my lower shin, right above my ankle. i went into the doctor thinking it might have been a stress fracture. now i WISH it was a stress fracture.

I wish you good luck.

Nick: best of luck to you. Hope that you hear some good news soon. And... even if your results come back not so well (though a biopsy seems likely), remember, you are a young guy, and if you consider a "good" place to find a mass of strange #$@^ growing in your body, I'd take the leg over most others.

I was diagnosed with the big C last year, and everything turned out alright in the end. I know you're freaked out, I sure as hell was before I found out what was going on, but your youth and other health will make things easier for you, no matter what the mass is.. If you have any questions, let me know...

last year i had a semi large hard lump(nothing noticeable unless u felt around the area) above my left knee cap. went to the doctors and he said what usually happens is that certain growth spurts cuz the bone to grow out sideways. after tests it was found to be benign, i had the option to go under the knife to remove it but as it is its unnoticable to the eye so i didnt(it would prolly be more dangerous to be operated on then to just leave the tumor there)

best of luck to you and hopefully its nothing big.
