Haha...that was actually kind of entertaining. :) It's not that I didn't find the movie entertaining, most of the segments of the movie were funny in one way or the other. It's just that the scenes didn't have much to do with each other, and some of the stuff in the scenes didn't have much to do with anything. I'll probably watch the movie again with my friends who haven't seen it just for laughs, and to see if I can pick up on something that I missed before. All I'm saying is that the movie could have been directed/edited a lot better than it was. Truce? ;)

this movie is freaking hilarious. my friends and i still joke about some of the lines in it.

ignoring the oddessy connections - the point is that clooney tricks the two guys chained to him into trying to escape from prison. to do this he tells them about a fortune that he stole and hid. but really he just wants to get back to his wife cause hes heard that shes gonna marry someone else. and they run into all sorts of mid-adventures trying to avoid the law and make it back to clooney's home.

...which was then flooded. If that was all it was, I could've laughed at it and gone on my merry way but the symbolism was so thick in the movie that it couldn't be ignored. The movie would've been a lot better if it dropped the whole Odyssey thing and just made a more coherent storyline out of the misadventures bit.

I guess I'll count to three now and go to bed. Thanks for giving me a clue! :D
