I'll be the dissenting voice. I dunno how they looked before, but they look pretty decent now.

i took rims that were badly damaged and used bondo to fill in the damage, then repainted using the gunmetal paint. one wheel has a section of the lip (3-4'' around) that is made entirely from bondo.

Go here to see what i did (cant provide direct link, sorry). Best article on wheel repair is under model "GA" titled "Home Guide to Wheel Scuff Repair".. i did mine to the nth degree though (my wheels had much more damage)

The rims look fine, but you really need matching tires, especially when you have some that have a directional tread.

the bondo dust *should* come off if i wash the tires. i didnt intend to get bondo all over the tires, just so you know :p

Are you sure the wheels aren't bent?

If it was done properly it will. You'd be surprised how many cars come out of the factory with bondo on them already.

THANKS for posting that article, my two front rims and the same type of minor damage and this will help alot. My only problem is that the lip of the rim is crome, although it is very small. The rims themselves are white, but the outer most lip is crome. Any ideas on how to fix them? Thanks again

2 Bridgestones, a Hankook, and a Conti. All in 225/45/17 with high positive offset wheels in 5x100 bolt pattern. I knew just looking at the wheels/tires pic that he either had a Subaru or an Audi :p

Nice work, OP, but I would strongly suggest getting new tires all around. :)
