becuz my friend asked me for $5 i owe him... i went to log into my bank's website to check to see if i even had that much. i calculated very carefully the checks i wrote this month, and i am supposed to have about $30 to hold me over. so i log in and my balance is $780!!! then i fell outta my chair. so i got up and look at my deposits and apparently, my tax returns have been processed and deposited into my account. DANGG!!!! i just efiled @ 2am on 4/15 :p that was friggin' fast :D

I had a nice monetary surprise this morning too, I got my tuition reimbursement from work & it wasn't taxed. :D I was expecting to lose a lot of it for taxes, but apparently it fell under the non-taxable category.

:)

But yes, e-file is very fast. 11 days is about right, that's how long it typically takes mine.

I filed on 4/16 because the accountant was busy and couldn't finish it. This is our first year doing married filing jointly so we couldn't e-file unfortunately. Accountant says it'll be 6 weeks. I Just hope it comes in late May.

Haven't gotten mine yet and I filed on the 15th also. Actually I filed on the 15th but wasn't completed until the 19th. I had to resubmit the file 4 times because the genuises at the SS administration did not have my wife's nor my correct date of birth.

If the reimbursement is due to classes you are taking that are "required" for you job then they should not be taxable wages.

Now if you claimed your tuition expenses as an itemized deduction, then you would have to claim the reimbursements as income, even if it doesn't show up on your box 1.
