does MAME support netplay? the games i play occasionally are available on WinKawaks or Nebula, and they do it better to my knowledge.

Heh... I've been using MAME since 98 or 99.
Used to run C64 emus on my 486 in 93-94.

it's for nostalgia factor...

I can totally see building a gaming cabinet with the original joystick and a old school 20" TV monitor ;)

Yea..both Capcom D&D games were great fun with 2 players. I had both for the Saturn and loved them. They dont make games like that and Golden Axe anymore. Too bad..you figure with today's technology you could make an awesome looking game like D&D/Golden Axe, have tons of moves and combos, branching levels like D&D and online play...etc.

Great stuff.. I was always a sucker for Capcom's side scrolling games.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 & 2 for consoles?
Yeah, I guess 1-button mashing for attacks isn't quite the same, but it's in the ballpark.

I usta love playing Neo Geo in the mall arcade, so this was cool for me to discover, but .. dayam ... amazing how fast those graphics look dated when you are used to a nice PC vid card.
