There used to be, then cable modems were invented and people said "Dude, you should see what is available. There's pictures and stuff, that MOVE!"
 
just discovered irc? man i used to spend a lot of time on a few channels (like 14 years ago) i stoped getting on like 10 years ago. for shits and giggles i got on a few months ago.

sad part was it was the same people talking about the same shit.

Very true. Many of the IRC channels I used was like ATOT, just one single huge thread.
 
When I was a teenager pranking guys in #gaysex was amusing for an afternoon. The White Power rooms are also great. Ride a netsplit in with the handle "MLKsRevenge" and start a mass kick/ban 🙂

hahah i used to get images off www.rotten.com (gore pics) and rename them. then get on #daddaughtersex, #incest,#teenchat etc and go in with a nick like sara13 or such.

wouldnt take long for the pervs to /tell me and want nude pics. i would send them pics all right...LOL

most public servers should get you in. room name is oldwarez.

Don't forget Dalnet. They were big until they changed something (can't remember what) which basically killed all activity.
 
See sig. AT's had an unofficial channel for about a decade (#neochat on Undernet). There used to be a teamanandtech.com channel as well, but I guess that went away ages ago.

Gamesurge is legit, it was the hub for a bunch of competitive gaming groups (mainly CS).
