In a word, amazing. It's a late 70s early 80s Japanese made guitar. It has the most amazingly clean sound with tons of sustain and tone.

I'll try to get some sound clips up later tonight. I have probability and microecon homework to work on, but I'll see what I can do.

It's a variac switch, for grabbing single coil tones out of it.

Gibson uses this a lot on their ES-345 and up models, the B.B. King Lucille model has it.
