No, I must be using the left side of my brain tonight. This made me think about this for a minute! Good catch.

I got the 6 and 10 leaving the 7. Damn I need to get out more! I wonder what bowling would be like on a ship! Shuffleboard gets interesting once the seas go >6'. :) Billiards would be very dynamic as well.

Just bowling for fun. To be honest, I have no idea what 600+ series means

Series = 3 games. Perfect would be 900. Has this even been done?

Cheers!
Yes, it's been done. 1997 was the first year the ABC allowed one to stand, but it had been done before that.
According to my newest issue of American Bowler Quarterly (I get it with my bowling league fees) says that a 900 series (sanctioned by the ABC) has been done 7 times. A guy did it in December up in Minnesota.

Wow congrats. My highest was a 243. Would have been higher if that 7-10 split was at the beginning of the game and not the middle though.

Like I said earlier... I had a very high average when I worked at a bowling alley but what I didn't mention is that Pro style pins are much heavier and of course are much harder to knock down. Your 230 average(my old average) on normal pins would get knocked down to under 200 on the pro level pins real quick, lol. It's tougher than it looks for sure.

I got a 237 after starting off with 8 hammers. Got an open and closed out the 10th. Probably with a spare, I don't really remember.

You might want to investigate the matter a bit more.

The pins don't make that much difference.....there is only a few ounces of weight difference, if even that anymore.

The lane conditions, like I said before, are the primary factor in determining the ease/difficulty of scoring in any particular bowling center.
Look at the PBA's website....they have in-depth analysis of their different Tour lane conditions, and which ones are the higher/lower scoring patterns.

My average with no other change but adding the PBA pins likely wouldn't change 2 pins, if at all. Today's balls are simply too devastating.
The scores are controlled with the oil pattern, nothing else.

BTW, my high score on PBA lane conditions in a tournament is 266.
