The old front loader NES's had composite/mono output on the side of the system as well as RF on the back.

The redesigned top loader NES only had RF out and a slight horizontal banding problem that wasn't on the old NES.

That being said, I have both. :D

I still have mine with the original box and all the inserts. :)

I used to have all the boxes and manuals and stuff for all the NES and SNES games that I owned. No more though. :(

I still have mine. It still works perfectly. :) Don't even have to fiddle and blow and clean to get it to work.. lol

I gave my NES to my nephew with like 50 different games including the mario/duckhunt/world track and field cart, marble madness, rcr, excitebike, zelda (I miss the gold cart), punchout and a bunch other. I found out later that he's thrown them all away because he got a ps2.

I have stupid nephews.

surprised no one's brought up the NESPC configuration at all. YOu can then run the emulators off of a CD, and there's a way to get your original controllers to work via the serial port as well. Can anyone help find the link to the NESPC site/forum/whatever it was?

Every nes I've ever seen had an RCA video and 1 channel (i.e. mono) sound on the left side of the system,
