Microsoft, you have won the battle...but, wait you won the battle and the war! lol, This time I figured 5+ years of having the latest was worth the $120 admission...MS, good game my friend, good game
 
I'll be doing the same, probably... it's the least I can do now that I actually have a job I suppose. I just hope it's not much more hassle than good old VLK.
 
I too received my 64 bit Vista HP yesterday,not installed it.

I'm just glad the next OS by Microsoft will be 64 bit only,time to move forward as they say.
 
I'm planning on buying it when I get a new PC (in the summer).
I just noticed that the price has dropped for Home Premium OEM on one website. Was £78.71, now it's £72.84. So it dropped by like £6 on release day.
For something that will probably last like 5 years, that's quite a reasonable price. Cheaper than XP Pro or XP Media Centre editions.
 
Now is the ideal time to by those RETAIL copies. Vista will be around for many motherboards to come..
