mmmm, yes. And MOH: Pacific Assault.
And with DC 0.5 recently released, I definitely couldn't quit right now.
Although I still play more regular BF than DC.

I never missed an entire night of sleep gaming.
But when I was into Quake 2, there were plenty of times that I would start playing around 8 or 9 pm, then look at the clock and realize it was 4am and I had an 8 o'clock Discrete Structures or Systems Architecture class.
Oh wait, I did that with Rogue Spear also
Oh wait, I did that with Medal of Honor and Battlefield 1942 also. Except then it was realizing that I had to be at work at 8.

But I'm much better now. I almost always go to bed by 2 or 3 now. And I even take an occasional night off from gaming.

These days, I'd love to play FFXI, or any of the newer MMORPG's coming out, such as WoW or EQ2. But I would want to play it so much that I would not have time to devote to school and figuring out a career. It sucks.

I think I'll go in the military, retire at age 43... then sit around for the next 40 years and doing nothing but play games and work-out to keep my body in shape (by then, which will be 20 years from now, games will be... damn maybe close to virtual reality... they will definitely kick ass!).

Ya know, that would interesting. You know how many old people end up with a slow mind because of aging and lack of stimulating things to do (what do they do? They go play golf). I wonder what an 80 year old's mind would be like after spending 40 years doing nothing but gaming? That would be wicked.

Wake up at 8. Work-out until 12:00. Let the gaming mayhem begin until midnight. Sleep. Repeat.

Honestly that'd not a bad idea.

When I game, I would prefer to devote my life to games. When doom was hot, NOTHING came between me and doom... well except school. But after school was out, NOTHING came before Doom.

Games are the future, people just don't see it yet. Especially the people who cry "it's just a game." Those people are the most moronic people ever. They obviously can't realize of anything past the next 5 minutes.

See post above for a very scary example of what can happen to your brain if you play too many games.

I just got bored of gaming. The only game that appeals to me right now is Call of Duty and I stopped playing it after 2 days. I'm just not the same anymore, I guess people just grow up.

Split your freed up time in two halves: half the time work on building your muscle power in a gym and the second half devote to working and making money.

But it's fun as hell! That's why I play games. Not to get any meaning out of it, just for some good ol' fun.

The same could be said about life. It's not the activity that matters, it's what you decide to gain from it or gain out of it. If you decide that you got nothing out of it, then it's a waste of time.

Brainstorm and figure out what new things you can try, then pick one that you think you can get something out of.

I wound up gaming again. Ironically, I discover most of the random and creative things I'd like to try while I'm gaming.
