Comment? Advice? Suggestions? I feel weird. Guess now that I don't play as much I have more time for school/gf/working out and other pursuits. Maybe I'm suffering from withdrawl.

I'm looking at my 9700 pro thru my windowed case. All that power for email. I want to trade it off but I don't want to hold up schoolwork w/ comp downtime....and risk comp probs....have alot of assignments on comp daily. Looking at my 9500 pro in other comp....red board is pretty. :)

....I hope its worth it.

P.S. I have no console system either.

Read the classics or pick a genre and read through it. The library is free and you can spend hours entertaining yourself on books. While you are saving your money at the library, plan a trip someplace you have always wanted to go. If you're not married yet (I'm assuming), this would be the time to satiate your wanderlust. After you are done travelling, try some hobbies and interests. I personally recommend martial arts, the benefits are long lasting. At that point you are well-rounded and ready for a commitment to a SO perhaps?

Funny, I've been getting back into gaming lately because I find it works my mind more and I don't end up depressed as much.

Well... I just bought FF11 and skipped a night of sleep. Its like bad EQ memories flooding back. Maybe purchasing another mmorpg was a really, really bad idea. I don't even think I missed an entire night of sleep playing EQ once, I usually just went to bed late... but oh this is much worse.

So, I'm glad you are quitting, more will power than me

PS. I bought 3 gamecube games at the same time as buying FF11

I play about 30 min/day of Madden, and feel that any more is such a waste of time. I can spend hours playing a video game, and really get into it, like it matters. Then when you step away from it, you think, "How stupid is that?" It has no real meaning, and is a total waste of time.

As for what to do with your time now, you have an infinite number of possibilities. Have fun!

Send me your 9700 Pro, I've got a nice shiny 9600 Pro for you, or if you want to prevent yourself from gaming a great TNT2 card.
or

Go buy a console.
You won't ever game again.

Yes I bought an Xbox and returned it shortly after.

I quit most gaming a couple years ago. However, since I generally upgrade my computer moderately every two years, I usually end up with a game or two that I try out on the new hardware.

Go work out, spend time with the gf, work on furthering your education, get a job, etc...

Hello Mr Sackoftrades. Your attempt at getting me back to the darkside is futile!!!!!!!

Well unless until HL2 comes out....but that may never happen ;).

I just quit too. I played about 30 total days of games in about 6 months last year. I decided I had a problem and I basically quit cold. I still play an RTS for an average of maybe 30 min a day, but I am WAY too busy with work/school this year to do any more.

Blasphemy!! With Battlefield Vietnam due out next year thoughts of quitting gaming would make my head spin.
*Contentedly remembers playing the Omaha Beach map on BF1942 for hours on end yesterday...*
