I find it more disturbing that you were afraid of KFC as if the rats in NYC migrated all the way to your city. Have you never heard of rats in restaurants before or something?
 
If you are from Houston you will probably know about Marvin Zindler and his show about cleanliness in restaurants. Their place got listed as having a few rats in the kitchen and business went up from there 😵.

Ond of the local KFC's got closed by the county health department severall years ago, when the health inspector found maggots in the food prep area.
Rice? You don't sell rice...and why would it be moving on it's own if it was rice?
They became known locally as KFM...Kentucky Fried Maggots...
