I just ate a piece of bologna from 2002, what should I do?

Oops, I had a half empty package of Oscar Meyer Bologna in the fridge from december, and then a new one i got this week, and I ate a piece out of the old one on accident.

I only realized it when I went back to make a second sandwich, and the container on the counter had mold on the lid... yechhh!

Any suggestions? Im gonna start drinking water I think

My bologna has a first name
it's M-O-L-D-Y
My bologna has a second name
it's C-R-A-P-R (I couldn't come up with anything better in such a short time)

Think of it as free penicillin! 😀

What the other guys said about preservatives and it being non-organic is right. You have nothing to worry about besides getting fat.

Honestly, your body does pretty well of rejecting bad food. (E.G.--Puking it up, stomach problems, etc.)

So, I wouldn't worry too much, but buy some Pepto Pre-emptively.

I cant make myself puke 🙁 it doesnt work very well for me

yeah i should have thrown it out, but I've been eating at the school cafe since Jan-spring break, over spring break i had to buy my own food again and i hadnt really used the fridge up until then

I considered drinking alcohol but doubt it would do much to "settle" my stomach

I had it in a sandwich

2 pieces of bread + cheese + chips + tons of mustard = I dont taste the crappy bologna

I think that stuff is safe to eat for like a decade...if you haven't started vomiting violently...you're probably good to go.
