No one, and I mean no one, will buy that Viper after seeing it in the rain when they can order one for the same price that has never seen any elements...
Never seen any elements? Do you think they keep them in plexiglass at the factory? You have no way of knowing what 'elements' the vehicle has been exposed to prior to your owning it.

Complaining because it's out in the rain?!?!?... WOW.... that's really all the can be said, especially considering you don't even OWN the bloody thing...

[/Will Farrell] I feel like I want to punch you! [/Will Farrell]

Do I need to start a second list just for you?

LOL... Depends on what the list is for... If it's the "luvya' list, then i think i'll pass... :Q
For the record... I'm a Porsche owner, and have driven in the rain/snow/sleet/sun/traffic gridlock, and have no issues with the car whatsoever... so please... quit trying to baby the things..

Holy shiat, I don't beleive this crap...

Do you know how a car get to the dealer? It gets loaded on a frieght train and then hauled across the states. Then unloaed at a trucking company that will then load the cars on trucks who will then deliver it to the dealer. Some time when it gets off the train car it will sit in a lot waiting to be loaded onto the truck before it goes to the dealer. Do you think that the train car is covered? Do you think the lot where the cars are stored is covered? How about the truck that hauls them to the dealer?

So just a quick calculation mean that the car could of been subjected to more then rain on it's little journey to the dealer.

Did you think that these cars got laoded onto a covered truck the minute it rolled off the assembly line and then driven to the dealer.

I work at Boeing and we ship some major assemblly work on trains from Witchita (sp) to Seattle. Some times they have been hit by rocks, shot at, gone through hail storms, you name it.

so you little car sitting in the rain is the least of your worries.

ROTFL! I can't believe all this angst over a Viper getting wet in the rain
rolleye.gif

So to you that are upset: If you DID own a Viper....were out driving, got caught in the rain....what would you do? Find shelter as quickly as possible, jump out and dry the car, then wait for the roads to dry, so you could safely drive the car home without further exposure to 'the elements'? Maybe call for an enclosed transport? :p

you would go home and rinse it down with a low pressure stream to remove any (acid) rain that is still left on it

just to point out. saying rain is just like washing your car...i don't think you wash your car with the same water that can be deem'ed acid rain. .. stabbing the dealer comes to mind or deflating one of his own cars tires.

Man you need to relax, it's only sheetmetal. In the end you won't know the entire car's history after a decade of use or abuse when you buy one. BTW, if it's the dealer's car, then he has every right to leave it outside if he wants to.

it's not his, it's the dealerships, screw it, those of you who understand. good, your cool.. those who don't are horrible horrible people.

oh no... horrible people.
Stab them.

Considering we are talking about an $80,000 limited production exotic, I would bet money the Viper is pampered on it's way to the factory.

The fact remains, though, that a rainstorm is not going to hurt it in any appreciable way.

I'm sure that by the time I'm making enough money to afford that car, there will be more important things for me to think about other than the dangers of a wet car.
