I installed the latest drivers and now everything runs S L O W

I decided to update all my drivers and I started with nVidia Drivers for my Ti4200 and nForce2 Motherboard. Now, in games, everything is slow.

For example, in Morrowind, it did run pretty smooth but now it stops to load a new area and when I click to open a Chest or to display my inventory, there is a 3 second delay.

How can I go back to my previous drivers?

The new nForce drivers are known to cause problems with some setups because of buggy IDE drivers. Unfortunately there is no easy way to rollback motherboard drivers as so many components are updated at once. I suggest heading over to DriverHeaven and using their excellent Driver Cleaner utility to rid your system of the nForce drivers completely. Then reboot and install an older nForce driver version, which you can also download at driver heaven. Good luck!

Whoops. That's what I did wrong. Luckily I remembered about System Restore. It fixed everything.

Thanks for the help.

Never underestimate the power of System Restore. I have to say that's one thing Microsoft definitely got right. 🙂 Sorry, I forgot to mention that little bit about uninstalling first. Thanks PorBleemo.
