Is it worth upgrading from 5.5? I don't want to foul up my system since it's been running okay lately.
Don't forget to download the latest update from Windows update. I think there is a security issue that you need to download.

To me the biggest change is that it just feels faster than previous versions, both in loading the application and displaying pages.
There's a bigger difference between nightly builds of Mozilla than between IE versions.

Status bar is still there. Just go to "view" and click on "status bar"
