I hope Trump wins re-election in 2020

But I will say the rebellious can of worms is open and it’s not going to be closed. The internet will always be a factor going forward and there’s a lot of pissed off young people still out there ready to burn it down. Trump was a catalyst and has shown to be a relatively empty one, but only a matter of time before a newcomer will come along with the same burn it down message. And I’m glad it’s still out there, the country is he better for it.

To defy the Constitution for a whole year by denying a sitting President the Constitutional right to nominate appointments to the Supreme Court, should be enough to have that bastard at minimum, removed from office.
That's on the Republican party, not numbnuts.

Edit: Oops! missed a thread, thought "that bastard" was Trump. I'd love to go after Mitch.

If Trump gets a second term he's pretty much guaranteed another supreme court appointment. Depending on who that is it could be ok, or very bad. All of it is dependent on how the Muller investigation ends. Despite the never ending "proof" submitted here, he could very well walk away clean from the whole thing.

Were he not President, Trump would be under indictment for the same things Cohen has been convicted of. He'd be out on bond as we type. The likelihood that a jury would find him not guilty other than via nullification appears to be quite small.

If Cohen is guilty then Trump is almost certainly guilty as well. If Senate Repubs can overlook that & the fact that he's completely out of his mind we're in more trouble than you imagine.

No he wouldn’t, the country doesn’t have the stomach for it. I question whether they have the stomach for whatever Meuhller finds. Much as we don’t have the stomach to truly look under the rug with Hillary. She walked away from the email scandal with a bogus "no intent" out while others in government have been jailed for the same. There truly are untouchables, when you become a party nominee you’ve reached that level where you’re not going to jail. Bush should be not only in jail but injected with a death cocktail but he’s painting pictures at his ranch. People do become above the law.

All you need to do is to pretend to yourself her email scandal wasn't bogus and that only people like yourself have the courage to see that and the rest of your argument will fall into place for you. On the other hand, you may simply be too much of a coward to face the real facts. Take a look at what you need to believe and see if it doesn't match up nicely with what you do believe.

The real facts that she setup a private server and classified material was sent to it? Why would I pretend that’s not the case. Not end of the world stuff we’re talking about here but yes people have been jailed for mishandling classified info.

The last refuge of GOP sycophants is "But Hillary!"

Jhhnn always with those sound arguements. :beercheers:

I’m not GOP btw. Voted for Barry and will likely vote Dem in 2020, voted Dem for governor as well. We shall see.

"Bogus" as in highly contrived conspiracy theory as was the whole "Crooked Hillary!" trope.

Was her personal server a conspiracy? Or Stonetear deleting everything? Or destroying hard drives with hammers?
See what I mean. You see all these criminal acts when the FBI cleared her of wrongdoing. All those suspicions, shall we suggest the possibility of pure ginned up paranoia, helped to cost her the election. They were used against her politically, helped you vote against her, and since by doing so you fucked the nation, so it would be natural, I think,. on my part to suspect you may in fact just be too cowardly to face your guilt at being suckered. But if so you are to me only a machine that couldn't help thinking as you do because of programming you were exposed to, just like me and most everybody else.

So, uhh, you really got chumped hard, huh? And why would you impugn the integrity of the DoJ & the FBI if not in support of Trumpian/Russian bullshit?

No the fbi succumbed to her position of power and the fact the US didn’t have the stomach for it. She’s above the law. Her out was "lacked intent" which wouldn’t get lower peons out of it were they to do the same. The US can’t stomach the backlash, once you reach a certain level you become above the law. May loose your office but you aren’t going to jail. Nixon was pardoned for exactly that.

Did I may up those things? Are you saying they didn’t occur? How was it a conspiracy.

So here we are back to the where you are brave enough to fact the reality that the FBI was too cowardly to face. How can you see anything but conspiracy if what you believe is a truth only because you don't see it is a lie. The conspiracy just may be that you are too cowardly to see the real truth that what you think you see isn't what is real, only suppositions you have made that conveniently affirm your unconsciously held biases. Imagine trying to tell a person wearing red glasses of a world full of green. Are you courageous enough to face the possibility that your sacred cows are delusions you believe in because you have been programmed to believe that so believing makes you good? Are you indifferent to the possibility that you may be right or wrong? Have you detached your self respect from the truth of your opinions and ceased to have them? Can you live in a world empty of your understanding of morality and meaning?

Moonie I enjoy you as a poster. I don’t always agree with you or even think you’re saying anything but you certainly add your own dimension to the forums. Cheers :beercheers:

Operative term being "almost certainly". Bottom line is that at this point there is no concrete evidence that has been presented. That may well change when the investigation is completed, but right now Trumps crimes are wishful thinking and speculation.

After watching one after another outrage on the morning news over the last couple weeks, I was thinking about putting a poster on the back of my SUV (I've been posting in "Garage.") I don't think I will, just to avoid damage to my car and an imperative to commit self-defense with a baseball bat.

I thought of this one, though:

"Merry Christmas?!
"We'll wish Merry Christmas
"When we see the Traitor on MSNBC Lockup,
"or a spectacular Zapruder re-make!"

The Dems exhibit a sense that "the system will work." They may have my vote, but not my optimism. Trump and his Base seem bent on breaking it. I think impeachment is imperative, and I don't give a damn about how the Base accepts it. Carter deserved a chance to run again in 1980; Trump deserves my COPD spit-wad -- nothing more. Let the Base "skin that smokewagon and go to work!" using a line from "Tombstone".

This latest episode with the Mattis resignation is the scariest so far, and we're only finishing the second year.

You've got to be seriously ignorant to think that musical cabinet secretaries and changing out Chief of Staff like sampling chocolates is anything but deranged.
