I've tried the Battlefield games before and never really got into them. I'm not much for team-based games, and the action seemed too slow and tedious for me. Well, at the LAN party at work today, we played BFV a lot, and in a LAN setting, it's much easier to get the hang of the game and know what to do. As a result, I retract my previous statements. I found out that I suck at piloting the vehicles, though, which is sad because I played Descent a lot, and do well in the vehicles in UT2004, which was also played.
Oh yeah, and I was pretty much tied with one other guy as the top player in both games. I think he was the better player, however, and there were a few other guys who could give me a run for my money. One dude was actually cheating (yes, official and confirmed, we looked on his computer) and I still managed to tie him. If only I had kept playing these last few months/years!
Good times. I highly recommend it to anyone interested.
