Jay and silent bob don't count. Not established or even real actors by any stretch of the imagination.

And, um, hello? Walken was in Kangaroo Jack. He's out.

What = bad, terrible movie?

Something that could be completely awful to one person could be amazing and great to the next. What is your definition of a bad movie?

No one can ever win w/ this discussion/argument/challenge...because there is no clear-cut answer to what a bad movie is.

I found it to be an interesting topic worth discussing. Take it with a grain of salt.

Denzel - Virtuosity
Spacey - KPAX
Samuel L Jackson - Unbreakable.

All 3 are out.

Movies that are "not so bad, but definitely not good" do not count. It has to be terrible

all thoes are in there so I still WIN

Jackson was also in "Hail Caesar" - I haven't seen it but any movie that rates under 3 at IMDB is a stinker.

this question is way too subjective.

i say edward norton on the basis that i liked death to smoochie. it was a dark comedy. wasn't awesome, but it was far from terrible.
this also leaves in kevin spacey. kpax wasn't anywhere near terrible.

game over. 🙂

It has to be terrible. Examples: Men in Black 2, Cabin Boy, Deep Impact, any Disney movie

This is a problem with your reasoning. I have liked several Disney features. And it has been pointed out what is a bad movie to some is a good movie to others. There isn't going to be a good way of defining this for everyone unless you use something concrete like box office figures. Even in that case, it can be argued that some low-grossing movies were quite "good" in the artisitic sense. The argument then is an impossible one to make.

David Morse?
don't think he's established enough
Then what defines established? I thought he was excellent in Contact, The Negotiator, Proof of Life, The Long Kiss Goodnight, and esp. in The Green Mile

And he's always going to be Dr. Morrison, in my mind, from St. Elsewhere. 🙂

See, I LIKED Virtuosity and Unbreakable...

Training Day sucked major ass, though, as did Pay it Forward for Spacey.

Gary Oldman is a good suggestion...

You need to go by some rating scale that's already established, like IMDB or Chunky Ebert.

Because Joe vs. the Volcano is a GOOD movie, dammit!
