I heard they don't rinse dishes in New Zealand

Came across a site that talked about New Zealand's culture and it said they simply wipe and don't rinse the dishes after using them.

Kinda gross. Is this also true for public setups?

In England you only take one plate for the entire time you go to the buffet.... I got some bad looks from them at Pizza Hut 🙁

agreed. it's just a waste of direct labor, material, machine hours, electricity, etc....

just use the same damn plate, it's not like you gonna die.

When I go to buffet, I'd like to have more than one plate though. I don't mean use one, put it aside and use another one. I mean I want two plates for different food.

I don't like to use multiple plates. After the 5th or 6th one piles up I feel like I'm getting way more than my money's worth. And people start to stare :Q
You should see 'em after I break the 15 plate mark.

15? :Q

This thread is preposterous. If they rinse dishes in India of all places, why would they NOT do so in friggin' New Zealand?

They have a fvckload of plates at the buffet so I use a new one each time. Besides, I wouldn't want to get my Italian dressing mixed in with my mashed potatoes on the same plate :Q

Maybe it was supposed to be about the Maori?

I heard in Oregon they have the munchies so bad they don't bother with plates at all!

Then I heard the voices telling me to start some fires! No voices, I don't want to!
