Absolutely the right forum! It is part of the XP OS - and is now available as RC1. I have been using it for a few weeks. It is really good. Speeds up XP and rolls up all the updates since SP2. The final version is expected probably in April. It does not require uninstalling RC1 - it will just install over it.

You can download it here:

SP3 RC1

Have you tried a tool like nlite? If you are going to make a CD for future use I would wait for the official release so you are sure you won't have any problems.

Just finished slipstreaming Win XP Pro & SP3 RC with nlite 1.4.1, check off make an iso, and burn the iso file with Nero, or whatever burning software you have, for a bootable disk. Your install disk does not have to have SP2 on it. IE7 and WMP11 were not integrated into SP3, but you can integrate them into your slipstreamed copy. See the FAQS on the nlite site on how to do this.
