I have XOM stock and want to sell

Ive checked around my area and the nearest Scott Trade is about 45 mins away, very busy over the next few days but I want to sell this. Where else/who else should i look up in the white pages?

In that case, you should be able to take them to any stockbroker and sell them. They won't be real happy about it, though, since they have to go through the whole account opening process plus handling the certificates (which is a PITA for them).

Might be good to find some stockbrokers in the Yellow Pages and call them to ask what it would cost.

if you want a lower transaction charge, then drive to the scott trade or other discount broker office of your choice. it isn't like you can mail them somewhere and get it done any faster

how does one acquire these real physical certificates as opposed to just online stocks?
