If you were rich what computer parts would you buy to build that baddest PC possible? Please list everything you geeks can think of. Thank you.

Solid gold? Pshah, that's so 1980s.

Now, a solid platinum keyboard and mouse... that's an entirely different story.

Which sucks for general use......

Obviously if you were going for an "average" users top PC rig, you would use dual 6800 Ultra's (SLI) and not a Creative Wildcat (workstation card).

I HAVE UNLIMITED FUNDS.
The best AMD processor
those Apple 30 inch screens maybe 2
Dual 6800 ultra and extra PCI cards for the other 30 inch screen
4 GB of RAM
Studio quality sound card and an extra card for games
Have someone mod the wiers for you and buy a modded PS
2 DL DVD+-RW
SCSI or SATA HDs
Home theater speakers
Get that and your e-penis would be the biggest in all the land

Would I buy a system like this, NO! Why? Because I could get the same performance, give or take 5%-15%, with a system similar to this that cost less. Also I don't need all of that crap.

Ask IBM to build you a server and give them unlimited funds. That should only be about 15 million bucks :)

I think If it was me, I'd get a computer that cost about $3000 as to not spend too much on stuff that's going to become obsolete super fast.

Get a really nice CRT for $600-ish

For connecting to the computer,
Get a really nice projector for $3000-ish
Get a sound system for it for $3000-ish

I'd rather have that for around $10,000 than spending the whole amount on the computer itself.

Of course if funds really are unlimited, get a $10,000 computer too and then spend 10 times as much on the projector and sound system too.
If you want to blow your money away, it's a lot easier to do it in HT equipment.

Yeah...
A Barco Cine9 and a 245" Stewart Blackhawk all the way. Denon AVR-5805 for sure.

Ribbon, I've been meaning to ask you... why did you get a $6000 receiver and hook it up to bookshelf speakers that are $150 a pair?

I know the BR-1s are very nice for the money.... but spending 6 times more on the receiver to drive them than on better speakers confuses me.
