I have to take an exit exam today....

I'm graduating from my University in a month and they're forcing all seniors to take exit exams. It sucks cause they allow for 3 hours, but make you stay at least 2. Pray for me while I'm taking this standardized piece of crap this afternoon. 🙁

It's an exit exam strictly for general university accreditation. It's mandatory for all seniors, but only by the university and not the state... Pretty crappy though because I doubt any of the seniors really try when they take it.

Are you at UTC? If so, do you know if the exit exam applies to all UT schools?

i never took my exit exam from RU. they keep on sending me letters...but i just ignore them. i already have my degree

Uhh, when I graduated, my "exit exam" was a 20 question thing I did online.

IIRC, not taking that exam does something with loans and negatively affects your credit among other things.

Yeah...at UTC. Not sure if it's applies at Martin or Knoxville. I'd guess it does though. Most of the things we do around here get passed through the system from Knoxville.

I'd guess they'd throw out the extreme tests and probably try to get more of the "norm". Accreditation is usually handled by college or program instead of University wide. I'm not sure exactly how they use it...maybe it's just for Gen Ed?
