I've been up playing video games all night. So do I take a nap or just stay up?

I say you should stay up and take some pre-workout stimuli.

Bioshock Infinite, Metro Last Light, Boarderlands 2 and Goat Simulator

I remember staying up late to play BioShock. Metro and Boarderlands look like awesome games.

What is a Goat Simulator? I will check that one out. Is it fun?

BTW, if you need caffeine I would stay away from coffee. Whenever I didn't get much sleep, and I drank coffee, I had massive diarrhea. Stick with an energy drink instead.

I stayed up, at work now.

I'm an IT Program Manager.

As far as caffeine goes, I already drink 4 cups of coffee a day, along with a couple of dews. I can't function without it.

Well that sounds fairly important. That's a lot of caffeine! I really only sleep 5-6 hours a night though myself.

2 hours of sleep is more than 0 hours of sleep. While you willl struggle to wake up, you will have more "staying power" with too little sleep over no sleep.

That was my night, too, OP, but not games this time. Did a proc upgrade on two boxes and installed an SSD, which required imaging a 500 GB drive. So yeah, coffee time is all day today. :)

I know caffeine is natural diuretic. In my case, if I drink a 20oz coffee I'm going to the sh*ts. When I drink a 16oz Monster or Rockstar I don't have these issues.

http://coffeetea.about.com/od/Coffee-Tea-Health/a/Coffee-Makes-You-Poop.htm

The main documented reason for coffee making people poop has to do with a reaction in the distal colon, which is located at the end of the colon. The reasons for this are not well understood, but are thought to have to do with a wide variety of hormonal effects based on the exorphines in coffee (which bind to opiate receptors) and two naturally occurring chemicals in coffee called Gastrin and Cholecystokinin. These chemicals are thought to be absorbed into the blood and directed to the brain and colon. Then, they are thought to stimulate muscle contractions in the lower colon, thus promoting bowel movements in the 20 minutes after coffee is drunk.

hah, if I get less than 4 hours of sleep and have to work the next day I just call in.

I simply cannot function, focus, stay awake, and am not fun to be around.
